Starting May 26, 2007 at 9:40am EST, Stephen Pierce is holding a massive fundraising effort to feed 1 MILLION hungry children. He will donate a plate of food on your behalf to a hungry child through the Feed The Children charity organization every time you download.
So what's wrong with that?
Well - the last time I asked, when someone says they are giving something, they are GIVING something. No strings.
But what does Mr. Pierce ask? He wants your name, your email AND 30 bucks! The $30 donation goes to feed the children, but what is Pierce after - YOUR CONTACT INFO - so he can sell you something next week, or next month, or next year.
Jumping on the "Charity Bandwagon" is something a lot of celebrities are doing these days. They are using their names for good - but please beware of people who want something from you.
Stephen - I have nothing against you, but if you want to sell seomthing, sell it. If you want to give - give.

Check these sites out. I dont see the reason why asking for a name and email for a donation appears as scam. you have the right to discontinue them from sending you stuff anyway.
i just don like it when articles are written questioning other's faith of carrying a goodwill to help the unfortunate. for your information, foragreatercause.com has been continuously donate to many other charity since setting it up for the Internet Summit last year.
Stephen Pierce promised to give and he did.
Thanks.
Hmmmm, I wonder if "lackofattention" may be Mr. Pierce in disguise....
After my recent dealings with Mr. Pierce all I can say is that the O.P. is dead on. Don't promise something you have no intension of delivering on. Period! My case in point:
October 6, 2008 I ordered Mr. Pierces' book, “MakeRealMoneyOnTheInternet” at the recommendation of another I.M. that I trust. It was promoted as a special “Free Book, pay shipping only”. I checked out some of Mr. Pierce's YouTube vides and they seemed legit.
Upon placing my order I received a confirmation email that also provided an order number in case I needed to follow up (a nice gesture I thought at the time). It said my order would be shipped in 3 days and that I could expect it to arrive with in 5-15 business days once shipped.
When I hadn’t received my order by October 30th I emailed their support (support@piercesupport.com) to let them know and to find out when I might be receiving my order. When I did not get a reply by the following week, I sent another email.
Today, November 17, when I did not receive a reply to my last email I decided to call the number given (1-866-272-1410 ) only to be disconnected before my call was answered (this happened twice)!
Honestly, I an VERY UNIMPRESSED! Mr. Pierce, you should be ashamed of yourself for advertising something that you can not deliver, especially after it has been PAID FOR! Furthermore, there is no excuse for your lack of communication.
I was so hoping to grant you the benefit of the doubt. Having my own business, I understand that “things can happen”. However, unless you have suddenly become gravely ill or died, there is simply no excuse for your lack of diligence and doing the right thing.
To anyone else out there searching for information on any of Mr. Pierces products or services all I can say is DON’T BOTHER. I don’t enjoy taking my fellow entrepreneurs to task but he has earned my disdain as one of the worst I.M. Charlatans around!
If he happens to read this and makes amends (i.e. ships my order SOON with a sincere apology) I will happily & recant my harsh post in this forum. Mr. Pierce, the ball is in your court .... PROVE ME WRONG!
